On this day, when we pause to reflect on our lives, our responsibilities, and our blessings, we are reminded of the teaching from Pirkei Avot: “The world stands on three things: on Torah, on worship, and on acts of loving-kindness.”

As Jews, the value of life and memory are ingrained in us, and we are raised with the imperative to act. We call this Tikkun Olam and that is why we look beyond the doors of our synagogues and homes, to impact lives across communities.
